BOSCH ABS Control Module Applications in Ford and Mercury Vehicles:
Bosch ABS modules are commonly found in 2000-era Ford and Mercury vehicles. These modules are especially common on fourth generation Ford Mustangs including the GT, Bullitt, Mach 1, and Cobra. Common problems include ABS and traction control lights and an inability to communicate with the module with diagnostic equipment. A faulty module may also produce false wheel speed sensor errors. If you are experiencing any of these symptoms, which may be intermittent, please send your module in for a free inspection to see if it can be repaired. BOSCH 5.3 and 5.4 Applications:
Please match your ABS module to the pictures below. Fords use both the larger and smaller ABS housings pictured. On Mustangs, the type of unit will be printed on the sticker (e.g., GT, COBRA, V6 Traction, etc.). If your module looks like either of the below, it can be repaired:
